Speakin' of tractor hours -----

How many of you fellas can remember when it was recommended that you would have to put at least 100 hrs/year on a tractor in order to justify buying a diesel over a gasser?? That was all the buzz when I bought our Super Dexta (diesel) in 1963.
BTW, Allan, I have to side with the higher hour crowd. I think one factor which leads to higher hrs is the land you're working. Our county is all clay while our neighbours enjoy sand --- the difference between night and day in annual worked hours.
