First thing is if you turned the key off and it still turned over it probably run the battery dead. We have a 4020 gas JD that will do that. If you get that figured out and it still doesn't start I would be interested in what you finally have to do to get it running. I worked on one last year and it was getting spark to the plug, fuel to the carb and even past the carb but still wouldn't fire. Only thing I can think of is that it jumped time somehow but the owner was going to carry it to a mechanic and I haven't heard from them as to what fixed it.
