I appreciate the help! It's too bad I didn't have one of you with me last night when I was trying to get my new toy running. You probably wouldn't have wanted to be there though (North Central Minnesota 20 degrees with 15 mph wind). I wish I had tryed your suggestions last night but I had it in my head the starter was shot, the fingers, toes, and lower unit were getting darn cold, and we had to get going back home (about 60 miles away). Let's all pray I get my deer early tomorrow morning so I can run back up North and get my TRAKTOR!

Product Review: Lead Substitutes - by Mike Schordine. Lead was oriinally added to gasoline as an upper cylinder lubricant. It lubes the valves and seats. If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution. And, if you are like me, your tractor is under cover, but it sits outside. So with every temperature change, the humidity in the air collects in the fuel tank, in the form of water.
