Similar situation happened to my mom and brother. Guy ran a stop sign at 60 mph... with a suicide wish... no insurance... We had to sue our own insurance company to get them to pay up... medical bills topped $200k.... the 100/300k limits are a joke... So now we carry 250/500k limits and drive fullsize cars...
