I read a recent report about those yellow bucket hydraulic oils you see at coops and places. Cennex I believe had an independent lab do some analysis on 8 different kinds of yellow bucket oils. They were missing the majority of the additives that Hy-Tran and other oems have in them. It also said the oil turned to sludge faster, showed more gear wear and did not stand up.
