My brother (the quiet one) sat listening to my sisters-then-boyfriend talking at length about his high dollar gear, expensive gadgets and actic proven boots. The guy went on about guided hunts, his new Ford truck with color matching 4-wheeler, and his custom engraved and inlaid firearm. Brother asked him if he a deer, and the guy said "No". My brother informed said fella that he had, in fact, met his quota in buck and doe season. He said his secret was his $75 SKS and his worn out sneakers. The guy was dumbfounded.

Seeing an Old Friend - by Joe Evans. Dad had a concrete contracting business starting in 1960. One of his first pieces of equipment was a Ferguson TO-35 with a Davis loader. Dad replaced the TO-35 with a MF 202 Workbull, essentially an industrialized Ferguson 35 I am told. Dad bought the 202 new in 1962, and I recall quite clearly going to the dealer with him to sign for it.
