Matt, You didn't say exactly what was wrong with the axle.... so I'll just speculate. If the steering joints, king pins/bushings are good... or at least repairable cheaply, and the wheel bearings good, why not just haul out all the FWD gearing and such parts and run it as a 2 wheel drive. Pack the bearings with grease and stog the holes up to keep the dirt out... or some combination therof. You might try the expandable type frost plugs to fill the axle holes up. That would hold oil too.... I'm assuming that there was some drive failure here rather than an outright axle failure. Anyway, just throwing that idea out there.... and it does leave you the option of fixing it sometime if you want. I must admit though, you are the FIRST Kubota owner that ever admitted that the bevel gear front end wore out. I always hear about how they last forever, and how stupid I am running planetary front ends and such... It's nice to hear the truth occasionally. Good luck. Rod
