A coil will have 2 windings.. a primary and a secondary. Primary is low voltage high current ... well.. high in ratio to secondary current anyway. Secondary is low current high voltage. When the primary or primary wire to the coil is refered to.. it is the incoming power wire to one o fthe posts on the coil.. and the other post goes to the points via the distribuitor feedthru insulator. The secondary wire is refered to as a high tension wire sometimes.. and it goes to the plugs by way of the distribuitor cap. Soundguy
