Aloha,
I would just shoot some penetrating oil on the shaft and try to turn it back and fourth using whatever you got. If it doesn't come loose, oil or whatever you put in the system won't get it loose. Take it off and do a professional job unless you just want to do a quickie and dump it. Mahalo,
