about 1 acre total of tomatoes. ~3000 plants rows are 6' on center and plants are 2' apart in the row. We sell almost entirely retail at our own farm and also a 3 farmers' markets. Make money as long as you don't consider your time worth a whole lot. We got $1.25 or more / lb all summer. The retail market is the only way I can make any money on this farm.
