I have a 580K that I had a similar problem with. Turned out the bucket tilt lever had stuck hard over and was sapping all the hydraulic power from the tranny. Make sure all levers and 'in neutral' before you do anything else (with the engine idling you should not hear the sound of fluid hissing through the system). Make sure you have fluid, obviously, and a clean filter.
