Wasnt this posted on another board also??? Ive also converted simply by just using a 12 volt VR. A gennys output is increased by turning it faster and/or pumping more current through its field windings which creates more magnetic field strength. They arent super high rate chargers when done this way but they will work, better way is to have a genny shop change the field coils for 12 volt operation. John T
