Gunsmoke, The fellow that told me this was a tractor and heavy equipment mechanic for over 40 years. I don't remember him saying that he used degreaser after the fact but would assume that wouldn't hurt. Maybe do a wash-out with mineral spirits to clean off the diesel. But the way I see it, using the pressure plate & clutch will eventually dry it out, but I know regular motor oil will end up glazing on a clutch disc. I'd say give the diesel a try before you have to split her in two...
