I did a google search for 6 volt pos ground alternator conversion,and found these instructions for exciting POSATIVE ground alternators. Atleast on this conversion,you do not connect the #1 regulator terminal to battery voltage as you would on a NEGATIVE ground alternator.
For a POSATIVE ground 1 wire alternator you would connect the momentary contact button switch to the #1 regulator terminal and Ground the other button lead to the alternator case.
This is necessary because they are still using a negative ground regulator in the posative ground alternator. Talk to your alternator shop to see if they are using the same conversion system to come up with a pos ground alternator.
