Saw Merle at the beautiful Napavine Amphitheatre a couple weeks ago. He looks pretty tough, but the old coot can still put on a show. Did his own guitar riffs, and sang about every hit he had. Still sounds pretty good, although you can tell he's not 35 anymore. Overheard one kid asking his grandpa what "rainbow stew" was.
