Thanks for the input guys. Today we put a pressure tester on the rad and ran the combine down the field to see what would happen. Pressure tester showed 12psi and stable. The new rad cap which arrived this morning is a 0.7bar (11psi)and at least now it appears to build preesure. The top rad hose was running at 115C (230F) and the bottom hose at 95C (203F)i think, it was hard to get close to the bottom hose. The combine in question is a Claas 106 (same as a Massey 8460) and runs a Mercedes 401 V6 motor (640 cubic inch). I'm presonally starting to lean towards two theroies, 1 faulty guage/sender, or 2 rad is shot(again).
