Hi Chris, sounds as though you have enough topsoil on it. I would re -disc the whole area until you have everything worked up well.{ I just did a 2 acre horse pasture for a customer that took over 6 hours of discing before it looked good} Then broadcast seed at recommended rate, next, york rake the ground lightly just to level and cover the seed. I always mulch seeded lawns with hay, [with a straw blower] the extra seed in the hay helps ,plus it doesn't blow around as much. If you don't have axcess to a york rake, you can drag around a heavy plank with good results. Now is one of the best times of the year to start a new lawn, at least here in the north east! good luck, Dave
