Joakim, I have a number of books and pictures but can't help this question. It may be of help to add The name "Leyland" as named after 1968, or "British Leyland" as that may bring up some new books or info. One book says the tractor was introduced in 1948 as the Nuffield Universal. In 1950 they used Perkins P4 but in '54 was repl. by 3.4 litre built by British Motor Corp. In 1957 a smaller model was built,The Universal 3 avail in diesel and a Universal 4. The tractor was called the DM4 when the British Motor Corp eng.began(in '54) Hope you can get a better answer.Chuck(Swede)
