The treated wood has to dry out before you can coat it, or the coating will just roll off like it's supposed to. The lumberyard guy told me an easy test: Drop a few drops of water on the wood, if it soaks in, you can paint it or coat it however you wish, but if it beads up, then it needs more dry time.
