You said that you had bermuda grass in the pasture, it has been my experience with common bermuda, you can"t kill the stuff, in fact, it likes the stirring up. IN the spring while the ground temp is below 80, just disc the pasture and pull a drag over it. It will help level the bumps and holes. Then when the ground temp reaches high 80s, look out here comes the bermuda grass.
