I have an A and also a Super A. I have never had a problem with the steering on the A. The super A had the same problem with the steering that you have. By reading other posts over the years it seems that this is an inherent problem with the Super A. What I found was the key and keyway on the steering shaft were worn, (the lower end by the gears) allowing for the play in the steering wheel. I machined the shaft and gear to accept a larger key. That was about 6 years ago. It is starting to get sloppy again. I hopes this helps you. Bill
