I started field work when I was 9 pulling a hay rake with a WD-45. I started hauling 3 bales at a time on a teailer hooked to the back of an Allis Chalmers D-19 when I was 11. I also started harrowing at that time. Im am now teddering as well as everything else. I also learned to mow hay this year. Ive been riding in the combine since before I can remember. Im 14 and havent had an accident yet. Because im safe and think about what im going to do. I dont think it is a bad idea as long as the kid is mature enough to handle it. I dont think it has anything to do with your age I think its how serious and mature you are about what your doing.
