TO35 ferguson overheating

I am a new owner of a to35 ferguson. It recently started overheating with me. I have replaced the water pump, and cleaned the radiator. I have also checked the head gasket via compression check and there is no water in the oil or oil in the radiator fluid. I flushed the radiator and got good clean water flowing through it. any suggestions? Also, this may be a stupid question, but the lift will only work with the pto engaged. Is this normal? thanks.
