The bucket's Massey used on those loaders were a joke. We had a 6' bucket on a 246 loader and it got rebuilt three times before I finally got fed up and built my own bucket for it from scratch. I used all 1/4" plate with several 1/2" wear strips under the bucket for extra strength as well as a gusset in the middle. We never had anymore bucket problems after I built this bucket and I even used it to pick up a 4,600lb grain head one time which our neighbor thought I would never get off the ground.
