Raliegh, after reading all of the responses, my opinion is that maybe you shouldn't have even asked this question. The 4 year old is your son, you are his father. You are the one that is driving the tractor, and you are the one that knows if you are a safe and careful operator. How else is the boy going to learn? I am sure that I was riding on the tractor with my dad at a much younger age than 4, and was even allowed to drive that tractor while dad rode, by the age of 9 or 10 dad turned me loose with the tractor and hay rake, and shortly after I learned how to mow hay. Take the boy with you, but only for short periods of time where you know you will have smooth riding. Hold him on your lap, and be careful.
