J.I Case Model 730CK with Draft-o-Matic Lift

I've had this old tractor for 15 years or so, but it's hard to get parts. Both the instrument panel serial number and the engine serial number plates were gone when I bought it. I'm positive there are ways to narrow down the serial number reasonably, but my dealer is uncooperative. For starters, I have both a correct and an incorrect Operator's Manual. The incorrect manual indicates it's good for a certain serial number and after, but the correct manual makes no such reference. At the very least, the dealer should be able to look up the publication number of the correct Operator's Manual and relate that to a range of serial numbers, but he says he only knows International parts, and not Case parts. He did eventually find the numbers and order tie rod ends for me, though......

If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution.
