I have the exact same truck sitting here and the 460 in mine is using oil now. I am planning on putting a rebuilt 460 back in it. I have one on the engine stand right now that is rebuilt ready to go in soon. Swapping in a diesel would be a lot of work with very little to no gain. If you want more power from the 460 do a little head work, exhaust system and rebuild it and it will be good to go for another 15 years. Diesel swap would not be cost effective. It would be farther ahead to sell the truck and buy a diesel if that is what you really want. Good luck.
