Had a good day for a cange, the construction project i have been battling for weeks finished, i sewed it up today. Got back to the shop, and went to work on equipment, we picked up a Ferguson 30 a few days ago and put 5 gals. in her cleaned pionts and checked oil, antifreeze, charged battery. And didnt fire, checked points for spark, found points werent touching, went to adjust the points and screw broke in 3 pcs. It had little burn tunnels thought it. Never seen that before! Ran fine but stuck in 4th gear, with the trans cover off with the shift stick. I found i shifted fine with a prybar moving the gears in and out. Came to be i turned over the trans cover to find the nib for the shifter was nearly worn away! With the proper rod and the welder she is as good as new. She will be in prep for paint tomm. and painted Sat. GOOD DAY!
