My faith and prayers are with you Jed.It is a decision that you will feel afterwards, "If only we had tried the other way". Personally, I would set down with the Bible and my Dad and Mom and talk over the options. Since he is still so active and in what sounds like good spirits and full control of his mind, I would weigh heavily with his thoughts and wishes. Don't know enough about the condition to know if there is any alternative treatments available, but you might be able to go on the net and find out and also give him those options. It will be a long rough road and very difficult,not only for you and your Mom, but for everyone else concerned. I pray for peace and wisdom, and knowing that whatever decision is made that God provides the grace and strength for you and a peace that can only come from a firm and faithfilled abundance of the knowledge of God.
