I know this truck isn't a tractor but I'm having a dang time finding the problem, so I thought I would post here. I have a f350 pu 1971. The ignition wiring is shorted somewhere. I put new wiring for a pushbutton to crank the engine over and it would run with the key in the 'run' position, even though the key will not turn the engine over when turned far clockwise. After running fine for a few weeks, now the enginge will turn over kick on when i push the starter b ut not keep running. I replaced the ignition switch. Since this truck only stays on my farm, I would like to know how to rig a toggle switch for a 'run' or motor on position to use with my push button starter. Is there a simple way to do this? thanks wallyb
