I've got this old JD combine and I'm planning on getting to work on it over the winter, but I'm trying to round up any information and parts I might need ahead of time. From the January-Februry 2005 issue of Two-Cylinder magazine I'm pretty sure I figured out it as a 5a combine, so I ordered the manual from Deere. The problem is the manual only talks about the Hercules 6 cylinder motor, and I've got the 4 cylinder Lycoming motor. My problem is, I'm missing the carburetor. The motor is a Lycoming AFD 2167. Any ideas on what carburetor it might take, or anywhere I can find some of that information? Does anyone know if this motor was used in a different application?
