Follow the Mississippi if you are looking for a scenic route (Hwy61). Depending on where you are starting from in MN, you could go thru Rochester, then take HWY 52 south to Dubuque, then follow the road (I don't know the name of it) that goes east (across the river), the road goes right to Rockford. I have gone that way myself, but I think the Interstate is a lot faster. I don't know where your final destination is (Fort Campbell), never been there. BUt if it is near Rockford, and not as far as Chicago, I would go The interstate. Have a safe trip, and remember in Wisconsin, 70 means no more than 75. JohnG
