I have 2 large ditches, around 350 feet total, one is around 5 feet deep, the other only a couple of feet. I use the weedeater on the deep one, and the rider on the other. I have 2 downspouts, 2 floor drains in the basement, and the kitchen sink and dishwasher goes to the deep ditch. I know its not code, but the house is around 150 years old. Anyhow I do it to keep the appeal, and also if anything goes in the ditch, it keeps on moving and has nothing to hang on. Security.
