I've noticed a reduction in ditch mowing this year but not a huge reduction. Once a landlord gets used to seeing their ditches mowed they like to see them stay that way and if the neighbor mows his landlords ditches you'd better keep yours mowed too. If a land owner decides to rent me his farm I am going to take the best care of it I can which includes mowing the ditches, I'm not going to mow them every week but I'll do it once a year to keep the brush from growing up. Also around here mowing the ditches at least gives you a chance of seeing deer before they jump out in front of you at night.
