Here is your opportunity to do just that!
Put the terminals of one of them little pp3 (9 volt smoke detector type battery) on your tongue - you should feel it easily! Let us know the result!
Our typical resistance to earth is about 10k ohms (probably not sweating in the heat of the last few days), so not enough current (well energy, as in volts x amps = Watts or joules per second)unless volts is high.
That is why the typical mains trip "test" circuit is a resistor to earth of around that value!
