When I farmed I owned an 856 and my dad owned a 4020. One was as good as the other, each would do the same work as the other, and you could swap implements from one tractor to the other. Neither one gave any more trouble than the other.
Both of the tractors you are looking at are priced too high, unless they are in exceptionally good condition.
