Slatted Moldboards are not new in the U.S. In the 1960's I pulled an A.C.4/14" Snap Coupler Hitched, Slat Moldboard Plow w/mounted Drags with my A.C. 190 Gas Tractor and I also tried it with my D 17 A.C. Tractor which could pull it but strained to get the job done. This was in Northern Ill. Loam Soil. it worked real good in Alfalfa Plow down ,pretty good in Corn Stubble, and real bad in Soybean Stubble although I usually did not plow Bean ground prefering to disc it deep prior to planting Corn.
