The 5' mower alone will ask quite a bit of your Cub. Remember that these things only boast 9-12 HP. You can certainly do a loader or backhoe, but you can't do both, and you certainly can't do either with a mower on at the same time. Too much weight for the nimble Cub. Here's what I would look for when buying a Cub: 1. Leaks of any sort. The seller may wipe down the tractor before you arrive, so make sure you check and double check for any drips (especially after running it for a while). 2. Compression. Take a compression tester with you. This is the best way to gauge the engine's overall health. 3. Make sure all the gears work.
