Real can of worms here now, pay attention here, you got a whole mess of questions here, JD, IH, CASE all have there own one off style couplers, nothing else will fit it unless it is a newer machine or been changed, so you have to get the right tips to fit the couplers, then we go to Ford, Massey , White and its affiliates, as well as a few others, they use a Pioneer style coupler and one tip will pretty much go into any of those units, but even in this style there is the ball type and the cone type, supposed to be interchangeable, but sometimes they just do not work as well, if yu are not after Hi-Flow, i like the ball ones, then - well, we get to the newer compacts, and they use even a different size Pioneer coupler and tip, all of the styles offered are available from jobbers, some will connect better under pressure than others, some are easier to get hoses into than others, guess it mostly all depends on what yer working on, tips are usually a decent price anyways, so look around and figure out what ya need and shop around
