I have an early 8N133502 that I would like to restore. Number one on my repair list is a bad right wheel whobble at "speed". The right steering arm is a little loose on the spline (probably casued from slop inside the box) but it appears the source is internal. I have not removed the box yet (and since you cannot source sector shafts for early 8N's what's the point?) Can someone suggest the most appropriate repair? I appears I may have to purchase a reproduction late 8N steering box ($450), right side steering arm ($54), and new drag links to fit the newer steering box (2x$75). Does it end there? This is going to put a serious dent in my rebuild budget. Can anyone offer a cheaper solution other than sourcing a used steering box which might have the same slop?
