My 1937 "BN" John Deere runs very nicely on E-85. Just had to richen up the mixture screws about 1/3 turn. It is hard starting on straight E-85 but sure has an interesting exhaust odor. Once your system is clean, you will never need any "de-icer" again. I have had 10% ethanol blended gasoline in all my vehicles and garden equipment for 20+ years and have had very good luck.
