My dad ran dextron in his IH tractors for years as trans-hyd fluid with out any problems. I even ran it in my CC hydros.

I reciently switched back because I don't use I my tractors much and wanted the corosion and moisture protection hytran has. I also have a bucket of hyguard as I needed some trans fluid in a pinch.

Not sure it matters as long as it's clean and free of water.
