How do you make a hitch pin pop out? I've never seen that happen, and Dad never spoke of such a thing in his 32 years of farming. We lost the hairpins years ago, and tend to think of the safety chain as a gov't-mandated joke, but if you don't have it you get to pay a fine. But we've never seen a pin come out. Often, we need a hammer to drive them back up to get them out. And we've been using the same 5 hitchpins for everything for as long as I've been around (I'm 27 now.)
