Another stop gap fix and it will not hurt any thing is use say a 40W or 50W oil in the engine. That will slow down the smoke/burning and as long as its hot out will not hurt anything. Shoot I use 40W or 50W in almost all my tractors other then the one or 2 I se in the winter
