I have the 5.4 Tritan in a 99 with 5 speed and 4.11 gears. Just swipe the card and drive. They are a good lugging engine for allaround work (I love mine off-road) But they ain't nothin to brag about on fuel economy. I have 111K on mine and never had a wrench on it. It is in 4x4 all the time and pulled a trailer a bunch. Shoot I've wore out and rebuilt one trailer. I'd never buy an auto.
