Does anyone have a 2003 Ford 250 (2WD) pickup with a 5.4 Liter V8 automatic transmission?

What kind of milage are you getting? Around town - on road - pulling trailer (8,000 lbs)?

I have a change of getting one for about $21K. Its in very good conndition with 90K miles on it.

What kinds of problems should I be looking for?

TKS

Not quite what you are asking but I have an '02 F250 V10 ext. cab long bed 2wd w/3:73 auto. Naked truck on interstate at speed limit I get 15 mpg, pulling my 30 ft 5th wheel camper I get 10 mpg. It pulls my 8n like a striped ape going to the woods.

PASS!!!!! !!!!! !!!!! !!!!!

With 90K on a 2WD you should be in the 12,000 to 14,000 range - TOPS!!!! If its a regular cab $9000 to $10,000. For $21,000 you can buy a new (2006) regular cab and get the 300hp engine with 0% financing.

I have the 5.4 Tritan in a 99 with 5 speed and 4.11 gears. Just swipe the card and drive. They are a good lugging engine for allaround work (I love mine off-road) But they ain't nothin to brag about on fuel economy. I have 111K on mine and never had a wrench on it. It is in 4x4 all the time and pulled a trailer a bunch. Shoot I've wore out and rebuilt one trailer. I'd never buy an auto.
