Dial-up blows!! Even where the phone service is decent. Where I am the phone company thinks that if it is good enough for voice, it is good enough for data, which it isnt. Half the time I couldn't get on and even when I did, half those times I got kicked off, to say nothing about the painfully slow downloads of today's graphics-heavy web sites. I use cable broadband, and wouldn't go any other way. If you have cable in your area, you should look into it.
