Mugg, I've worked on the silly things since forever. How hot is it running on your gauge? Contrary to what you might have heard in the coffee shop, those things run hot. 180 to 225 degrees in the summertime is not uncommon at all. Don't know of any code that will block out 4th or lock. In fact, it is designed to lock with heat to disapate it. Is there any way you can find out what code it is throwing (if in fact it is actually throwing a code)? When was the last time you changed that fuel filter (assuming it is gas)? Plugged fuel filters cause more problems with GM transmissions than you can imagine. Hope you get it straightened out, Allan
