Na, they are like 12 guage spring steel. They have to flatten out when the thing kicks the bale out the back, then they spring back up. They"re just not gonna be there. Somehow I don"t think the girls are ever gonna know the difference. Just thought it was pretty stiff for those small pieces. Good luck today Harley
