I spent some time in Baghdad in 2003 with my guard unit. I get up every day and thank the Lord I made it home and pray for the poor souls that are still there.

Nasty, nasty place. If you want to really appreciate living in this country, you should serve a tour in some place like that. Words can't really describe it.
